Burns Distributing Co. was founded by Jim and Sue Burns in 1986. They found that a real need existed in the convenience store industry to provide high quality store fixtures, equipment and custom cabinetry at a fair price. BDC began to acquire knowledge of the industry and its needs while at the same time securing store fixture and equipment product lines that would meet those needs. Over the years BDC has become a master wholesaler for many top brand equipment lines in the fixture and food equipment industry.
The success of Burns Distributing Co. allowed Jim and Sue Burns to start two other companies as they saw unmet needs for customers arise.
Burns Builders was created in 1990 to fill a need for clients who were growing their operations through acquisitions and new construction of stores. Burns Builders has provided design build services to the convenience store industry for 18 years. Burns Builders specializes in remodels, re-images, new construction, site work and petroleum work.
Ecash, Inc. was founded in 1999 when Jim and Sue saw another opportunity to provide additional services to existing customers. This new company specialized in ATM sales, service and transaction processing. Ecash capitalized on BDC’S market penetration and continued goodwill. In short order, Ecash became one of the dominant ATM processors and service providers in the tri-state area.
Outstanding service and NO NON-SENSE processing agreements have elevated Ecash above its competitors. It has earned great distinction as being one of the longest running ATM providers in the nation. This is very uncommon in an industry plagued with mergers, buyouts and bankruptcies.
SYNERGY best describes all three organizations when they operate as a team. These companies have great insight and knowledge pertaining to the convenience store industry. It is this knowledge and synergy that is relied on when building new relationships with potential customers and strengthening existing customer relationships.
